Thank you for your interest and for visiting our site.
I would like to first, give thanks to my teachers both past and present for sharing their knowledge and guidance with me. I continue to grow and experience so many things that would never have been possible if not for them. Thank you also, to my friends and family. Your patience and support continue to inspire and humble me. Finally, my studentss, who challenge me daily to learn more, work harder and be the person you expect me to be. There are no words to accurately express my gratitude to all of you. The best I can do is... Thank you.
Through great sacrifice comes great reward. We do not practice "flashy" material to feed our egos or give others and ourselves the illusion of skill, nor do we shamelessly promote and sell ourselves for fame & wealth. True skill comes from dedication, spirit and an open mind. These are the things we believe in cultivating.
There is no instant gratification in our group. EVERYONE has to put in the time and effort to continue their training. This is contrary to many newer methods of teaching where, you can advance and be given new material simply by memorizing movements and paying your fees. Neither one of those things have any place in our family. Our skills are gained through repetition, honesty and the ability to apply and teach the lesson.
It is my goal as an instructor to share the lessons I have learned so that my students may share it with the people in their lives. It is my job to make them all instructors in their own right. A teacher is always teaching no matter where they are and I want all of my students to be able to pass on not only the martial aspect of our training but most importantly, the mental, emotional and spiritual sides. These lessons transcend all barriers. Just as my teacher holds me accountable for my actions, I do the same with my own students. This means as a group we expect each other to be honest, dedicated and focused. We are a family and a family is only as strong as its weakest member so we all push each other to be better than we were the day before.
Because of this, we are not for everyone. We maintain a safe, healthy, challenging and honest environment. If that interests you and you would like to come in to be a part of it, please feel free to contact us any time.
